I tried the 2.1 dmg but they only added support for the C615 in the 2.2.13 version so although 2.1 will install it won't run the webcam it also warns that 2.1 is for the C910
It has been suggested for other software crashes on mac that antivirus has a part to play, personally, I think if thats the case the software needs to be redesigned and checked for functionality with all the major AV products. saying that I run Sophos AV and have never had a problem with it, it's system light and runs flawlessly, I've never had a problem with Sophos, so I doubt its that. Out of curiosity I disabled On-Access scanning and the results were the same.
I've also seen reports that Parallels interferes but I don't have that installed, I use Fusion but again thats not running.

I was having the same issue. I was about to go insane. However, when I ran software update, it cleared things up. Apparently, there was an antivirus program or script that was causing problems on the Mac; the v1.1 update of Mac OS X 10.6.8 removed it. Once I did that, I reinstalled the Logitech software, and everything works fine now. I'd try running the software update if you haven't already.

Sad to see there is still no response from logitech on mac drivers. Maybe the UVC drivers mac supply are making you lazy, but I'd like to know what features I'm losing and cannot use because the logitech drivers don't run in Lion?
After-all I have paid for all the features, so you should supply those features else you are mis-selling an item that is then not fit for purpose, The whole premise of drivers is to be able to access built in features and have optimum performance and lines of communication between hardware, because your mac drivers crash we the user cannot use these features, so I'd like to know what I'm losing by having to rely on UVC drivers.
How about compensation? a refund of half the price of the webcam would be fair.

Hi Lee_Whalley,
Since you are having issues with your C615 on Mac, I suggest you try the Logitech Webcam Software 2.20 for Mac. You can check the Build 2.2.13 updates to verify the changes that were done.
You can also check the following FAQs to get the information you requested:
- UVC driver vs. Logitech webcam driver on Mac OS
- UVC driver support for Logitech webcams on Mac OS vs. Windows OS

Over a year since this thread started, and nothing has been done....?
I just purchased the C615 today, soley because it was 'mac supported'. In fact I purchased it in a Logitech dealership in Hong Kong. The logitech staff told me I needed this model for Mac compatibility.
I downloaded the LWS220 software (as I have no CD drive on my Mac Mini), and just as everyone else here has experienced - the software worked fine just after installation, but as soon as you close it, it never opens again.
I've installed the LWS210 software as instructed in a previous post, and it is now working, but a notice continuously pops up saying it's only desined for the C910 and may not fully suppport all the camera features - and indeed it doesn't - No 1080p video recording, which it's supposed to support.
So, I feel completely misled by Logitech on this one. They've been aware of the problem for a long time and have not fixed it. Yet they are still selling cameras with 'Mac compatible' written on them.
The camera works for skype and photobooth, but it's very odd logitech haven't managed to update the camera software to work as it should.
FYI, i'm on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.8.2.

In this day and age one would think that a company like Logitech, who has been around for several years, would be able to resolve this issue by now. Sad to say this camera is going back to Amazon and I will never buy another Logitech product ever again.

Same error here:
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT (SIGTRAP)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000
Application Specific Information:
*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[__NSArrayM objectAtIndex:]: index 4294967295 beyond bounds [0 .. 2]'
What's the deal here, Logitech? Based on my Googling this problem, customers have been complaining about this issue for well over a year. Is anyone fixing this??
