I'm not talking about the settings for the light when it actually records. I'm talking about the light coming on when you start the motion detector software at all.
You can set the LED control to off and then save the settings. During that session the setting remains in place.
However if you close the session and restart, the light comes on again because the settings have reverted to auto.
All other settings remain place.
I think that this is probaby a software bug. Any one any ideas?

1) What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably, its USB\VID ID?
2) Which version of the Logitech Webcam Software application/drivers is installed?
3) What Operating System (OS) and Service Pack (SP) version is installed?
Thanks.

Hi,
I'll have to check the camera number but it was bought 3 days ago from a major store.
It is running the latest version of drivers because it did a full update as soon as it was installed.
I am running win 7 64bit fully updated.
I even ran the software as an administrator in case that was the reason it wouldn't save.
I'll get back to you with the number
