I just got a C910 web cam, and I've tried it on both Mac OS X 10.6.6 and Windows 7 64-bit, and I am only getting 24 FPS in 720P and at 14 FPS in 1080P. I've installed the software for both OSs, and it works fine; I just want to get a higher frame rate.
I have an 27" iMac with an Intel Core i5-760 2.80GHz CPU and 4GB of RAM. My iMac is only about 2 months old, so it's still new. I am just wondering what's causing the lower frame rate?
Would I have to upgrade to 8GB of RAM to get the higher frame rate?

What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably, its USB\VID ID?
Thanks.
