Webcams

I have read on other forums of people haiving this issue when trying to record video using the "Logitech Webcam Software"  but have yet to find any way to remidy the issue.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Hi,

I just bought a c920 yesterday & I'm having the same problem.

I've uninstalled ALL Logitech software, & QuickTime. And reinstalled after a clean boot.

Same Problem.

My first webcam, and I'm disappointed so far.

Hello slowz3r, antomal, and mdono1717 -

•  Run a cleanboot and reinstall LWS 

To Boot Clean in Windows 7 and Vista

Accessing the System Configuration Utility

 Click Start type msconfig in the search box and press Enter

Configure Selective Startup options 

1. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
2. Uncheck Load Startup Items
3. Select the Services tab
4. Check  Hide all Microsoft services
5. Click  Disable all
6. Click on OK
7. Click  Restart.

8. Reinstall Logitech Webcam Software

After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:

1. Click Start type msconfig in the search box and press Enter
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click Ok
4. Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

•  Uninstall Quicktime on your computer

How about someone at Logitech writes the installer CORRECTLY ? Why on earth does the buyer need to go threw this hassle to install YOUR poorly written software ? I've already spent about 2-3 hours of my time trying to find out why this launcher_main.exe happens when i click the Quick Capture option.Completely unaccpetable,and the response is horrible.After a few reported issues such as this the software team here should have been working on a fix,not posting work arounds.I plan on calling support because i do not have anymore time or patience ,nor should i  have to endure this from the company who sold me this.Webcam is awesome,this Logitech software is HORRIBLE.

I have the same problem.  but i get the error message when trying to view pics in my gallery. also video recording feature just plain doesn't work.  I hit the record button, then I hit stop recording and nothing saves into my video gallery.

Make a search in google "how to copy a user in Win7" then follow it. Or you can just make a whole new user if you dont care about settings in your current user. follow that then LWS should work for the most part. I can get past the "launchermain has stopped working" but i cant record my audio. Tell me if you get the same result!

I believe I've found the solution. After looking at things I've installed lately since it's stopped working, along with others, I believe Xsplit, and FFsplit somehow cause a problem with the Launcher Main file. I just uninstalled those two, and it works fine again. I'll be working to find a fix.
