I run a multi-million dollar startup here in Silicon Valley that has a web conference feature, we hope to have 30,000 users by Aug fully web enabled. Hense we are evaluating a multitude of cameras to resell and recommend and ship as a sign up package.
This one dropped off the list as soon as I opened it, reviews are great but Logitech's executives are writing their own destiny by not supporting Apple products in the visual media space. All they have to do is stay one step ahead of the cam that comes on the Mac's already to get its business.
This C920 is headed for the garbage, this forum post took all the energy I might have had to re-sell it.
Dissapointing

I bought a C920 yesterday and plugged it into my MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.7.3 (Lion) installed, and it works like a dream, without the need to install any drivers.
So far I've used it with Skype and Google Hangouts without an issue, probably thanks to the UVC Webcam Support mentioned earlier in this thread. I don't know if the C920 has only just been added though. (UVC webcam support for Mac OS 10.4.9 and later (FAQ #6471))
If you don't need all the software that Logitech provide, which I don't, you should have no complaints about this amazing little Webcam. By the way, the perspective and image quality is much better than the built in iSight camera.

I am using this camera with a late 2009 iMac and Lion 10.7.4 and it works perfectly.
Ok, I can'r zooom, pan and mess around with the picture in the same way I can using it on my PC - BUT the picture and sound quality coming off it while plugged into my iMac - is unquestionably great!

The c920 is complete crap on the mac. You don't need their driver. Just launch quicktime and you're in business. If, that is, your business is choppy video that freezes whenever the heck it sam heck feels like it. Thanks logitech. Ignore the fastest growing market segment. (I made that statistic up). On mac: DO NOT BUY. I should mention I'm running Lion. SL and earlier may be ok. The c910 works great.

Hi drumstudio2000,
The C910 does have a software (LWS v2.2) but it does not work well with Lion OS 10.7, the camera will work with Lion as a plug and play using UVC drivers. The same goes as well with the C920; you can use it with UVC drivers.
To obtain more information about UVC drivers please refer to FAQ#6471.
Thanks,
-PedroC

Hi,
There are no drivers to download, Mac OS 10.7 provides the UVC drivers to the camera as soon as you plug it into any USB port. Please remember these are drivers only and do not come bundled with any software/application.
Thanks,
-PedroC

I have a Mac Mini (mid 2011) running Lion 10.7.4.
The Logitech 920 webcam worked out of the box with Skype and Facetime. No extra drivers to install - just plugged it in. It must be using the UVC drivers.
Sadly, no ablilty to use any of the neat features, zoom, take photos, record video, upload to Youtube, face track etc etc. But the quality is great and for simple video conferencing it works great.
