If the feature buttons exist in your QuickCam Preferences... then yes.

Thanks.

I don't know if this works with MP but you can turn off the red light on AF. Just go to registry, search for LVUVC_LEDControl, change the value from 8 to 0 then unplug your camera and plug it back in.
If you want to turn it back on change it to 8 again.

For QuickCam versions 11.5.0.1169 thru 11.9.0.1263, LVUVC_LEDControl is located in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\000 0\Settings
Note - If more than one camera is installed, you will have a "folder" for each device (i.e., 0000, 0001, 0002, etc...).
It has a default Data Value of REG_DWORD = 0x00000005 (5).
Based on your comments, I will assume that the following information is true:
0x00000000 (0) = LED Off
0x00000008 (8) = LED On
Please note that only *certain* cameras support this feature, so the mere addition of this key will not cause the LED Control buttons to appear in the QuickCam® Advanced Settings.
Cameras that officially support the LED Control feature
- QuickCam® Pro 9000
- QuickCam® Pro for Notebooks
Cameras that unofficially support the LED Control feature
- QuickCam® Orbit AF
- QuickCam® UltraVision/UltraVision SE (Note - LED Off only)
Please note that this information is being provided for discussion purposes only, and that this modification is not supported by Logitech.
Thanks.
Edit - Corrected typo in the registry key location.
Edit - Updated Data Value entry list.
Edit - Added officially supported camera list.
Edit - Revised supported software version list.
Edit - Added and updated unofficially supported camera list.

Fantastic!! It was bugging me I couldn't get my LED out, even when the tutorial showed the controls. Tech support had no suggestions. Following your advice i was able to add the key you specified and it worked!
Thanks!!!!!

For reference, what is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably...the USB\VID ID?
Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?
Do the LED Control feature buttons currently exist in your QuickCam Preferences (Advanced Settings)?
Thanks.

860-000110
v11.80.1065.0000
Control buttons do not appear in advanced settings.
I tested it and the values of 0 and 8 do turn it on and off respectively. But as I mentioned, I had to add the key as it was not in the registry.
Thanks again!
