Hello,
I post here because I have a similar problem.
Just bought C210, installation goes normally but after that the camera is not detected
On device manager, the device is marked with exclamation mark and status is " the device cannot start. code 10"
Acer laptop,1511LMi, Windows XP SP3
USB\VID_046D&PID_0819&MI_00\6&7F994DC&1&0000
Tried to install lws225 (downloaded it from the site) and 2.0.0.74 from the cd
tried with selective startup from configuration utility
Thanks anyway

Hello bati_p:
Thank you for posting your issue to the Logitech Community Forums.
In a situation like this a Code 10 indicates to update the driver for whatever reason such as corrupt or outdated drivers. Please see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943104.
While in Device Manager and you see the "?" mark, right click on that device and then go to Update Driver to see if the driver needed to be updated.
Please post your findings!

I did what you told me
the update started but at the end of it same message appeared
"There was a problem installing this hardware - The device cannot start. code 10"
After that automatically logitech update started searching for updates, downloaded the drivers
and logitech webcam software started.
When installation was ready to begin, a message says that there is a problem and the installation stops there.
I've tried it many times before...same outcast...also tried clean install

Hello bati_p,
Welcome to the forms. The Code 10 error pertains mainly to hardware and device driver issues or to compatibility issues between hardware drivers and additional software that is installed in Windows. If you are using an external USB hub or pass through device please disable it for trouble shooting . You stated that you tried installing the software during a selective start up but have you tried installing during a

Hello bati_p,
Do you have any other imaging software installed on this system ? For example : imaging backup software also do you have a free voice morphing software installed? When you attempted to update the driver from device manager did you point the update wizard toward searching the hard drive that contains your operating system ? Also please try all USB ports on the system.

I don't have such software on my laptop.
When I attempted to update the driver I pointed towards hard drive.
Also I tried the other USB ports
No difference at all.

Hello bati_p,
If the webcam is still not being detected,
1) Uninstall LWS
2) Reboot.
3) Plug in the camera.
4) Windows will automatically install the generic Microsoft UVC drivers.
If the issue persists this would mean the generic drivers are corrupted or in use and you would need to proceed by doing a windows repair .
If possible please test this camera on a different system . If it is not detected on a different system this would indicate a hardware issue and you may want to contact customer care for your region.
