Computer not detecting logitech quickcam pro 9000?

I am running XP pro sp2 32bit edition and I installed the drivers that came with it, and replugged it in. But it won't detect the cam?? Any clue how I fix this.

Also I installed the Quickcam V11.8  software from the cd

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in UVC Mode?

i uninstalled quickcam and plugged it in again, all my pc does is make a noise when i plug it in, it won't look for uvc drivers and i tried using amcap , but it wouldnt detect it either.

Are the following INF installed in %windir%\inf?

  • usb.inf
  • wdmaudio.inf
  • wdma_usb.inf
  • usbvideo.inf
