I cannot believe Logitech don't provide Vista driver for this model. I bought it 1-2 years ago.

I went to the download webpage and it says "We don't provide vista driver for this item. please purchase our new webcam that support vista."

What the phuck? I have to throw away fine working webcam because they don't support it anymore?
My old other 3-4 year old hardwares support vista driver.

I will never buy anything from logitech anymore.

And another response to a similar thread (about Vista64, but still applicable):

As mentioned in that thread, your situation is not unique to Logitech or your camera. I have a 2006 vintage Adaptec Tuner which has no Vista support; my dad had to scrap his two year old HP Photosmart Printer as HP wouldn't update printer drivers for his model to Vista. I have a 3-4 year old DLink USB network adapter which also does not have Vista support.

To recap, your camera HW cannot handle the "updates" Microsoft implemented to Vista DTM tests, which where finalized about 4 months before Vista shipped. Its not an issue of Logitech not creating a "driver", as much as your camera hardware cannot pass a test from Microsoft which is required to "install" a Logitech developed driver for Vista.

Given this, I apologize for the inconvenience, but you will probably need to upgrade to a newer camera.

Thank you for personally responding to this OP geepers.

FYI - I've added an excerpt from the post you mention above to the "floated" thread.
