Error installing LWS200.exe (latest software for webcam) on Windows XP

I have Windows XP SP3 and a logitech Pro 9000 webcam. When I download and try to install the latest webcam software it displays an error message and quits. Message attached.

Hi,

I have the same issue. The installer (LWS200.exe) is probably incomplete. Its size is about 4MB. The file is unusually small. The log file MSetup_%date%*.log located in the %temp% directory after (unsuccessful) installation contains this message:

07:46:50:985[3896] ERROR: INSTALL - PackageInstaller!InstallMSIPackage!InstallPackage does not exist!C:\DOCUME~1\someuserhome\LOCALS~1\Temp\Logitech_Webcam_2.00.1783.0\LWS\Help_main_Release_x86.msi
07:46:51: 86[3896] ERROR: INSTALL - PackageInstaller!InstallMSIPackage!REBOOT=R REBOOT_EVENT=0 INSTALLDIR = "C:\Program Files\Logitech\LWS" !Installer failure!3
07:46:51:116[3896] ERROR: INSTALL - Package 'About your Logitech Webcam Software' failed to install

You can expand the file LWS200.exe (e.g. 7zip in my case) and see that there is no such package. (called Help_main_Release_x86.msi). Can somebody confirm my conclusion?

Thank you for your quick :-) answer. I will try full installer. It is a standalone system without connection to the Internet. There was no message to warn me that I need one. :-(

The installation was successful. The camera and the microphone work fine.

Device: USB\VID_046D&PID_0990 ; Stewie, Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000

OS: Windows XP, SP3

Installation package: ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/quickcam/lw s200_full.exe
