I run a webcam studio and we had been using the C910 perfectly for all our performers without a single glitch, then the 920 came out and it is nothing but problems.
On every computer we try, when setting the camera to a different capture size and frame rate we get terrible artifacting, glitchy video with green and red snow all over the image.Additionally many times (typically before we set deinterlacing on) simply setting the resolution manual will crash whatever program we are working with.
This occurs regardless of using the builtin software, or the Adobe Flash Media Encoder (both 3.1 and 3.2). We have so far seen this behaviour on 6 of 6 cameras we have tried on a total of 9 seperate computers with Vista and Windows 7.
Each computer has the latest drivers for video, audio, and the webcam along with all availiable windows updates. We have tried USB 2.0 native and 3.0 ports. AMD and Intel arcitectures.
Sometimes the camera requiers 29.97 FPS to be stable, others between 15-20FPS.
At this time we must conclude that the c920 is flawed either with hardware or, more likely, the drivers. So when are new drivers due out that will solve these issues? I need the camera to be just as stable as the 910 using the following settings:
640 x 480
h.264 Profile 3.1 MAIN
Frame rate: 20-30

Studio_Manager sez -On every computer we try, when setting the camera to a different capture size and frame rate we get terrible artifacting, glitchy video with green and red snow all over the image.
Please provide a sample image and/or video that illustrates this condition for evaluation.
Thanks.

I just bought a C920, I'm running it on a 3770K under Win 7, I'm getting framerates as low as %5 at 1080p, I'm not impressed.

Does this issue occur when you are using the camera in the Logitech Webcam Software application (i.e., to create still images and/or videos), in the Logitech® Vid™ video call application (if you have this installed), or only in a third-party Instant Messenger program?
Thanks.
