I cant get the exposure to sit still. The picture goes up and down from bright to dark and wont stop. My light source is constant.  The sliders for exposure and gain are moving wildly back and forth. When i try to adjust it manually the sliders dont work even with rightlight turned off. I take that back, i try to turn up the exposure slider and it works for a second, then it gets dark again but the slider is still turned all the way up. Yes i have the latest driver updated 4/30/09 from the automatic download. Runing Vista HP with a Dell Dimension E521. Any help appreciated

1) What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?

2) Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?

Ok Here's the PID   M63189      Series number    861304-0000 , driver version 12.0.1278.0 dated 4/30/2009. Hope that helps. Thanks

Please try reinstalling the Logitech Webcam Software "clean".
