Please try reinstalling the Logitech Webcam Software "clean".

Have you tried plugging in the cam (UVC mode) into another computer? Also what other USB audio devices do you have, if any? How are you plugging in the cam, through a hub or directly into the port?

I have to say that I am very reluctant to mess with this any further for the time being since the basic video and audio functions are now working. I need this to communicate with someone via Skype. I will try a "clean" install of the software once the immediate need has passed.
