HELP PLEASE ~ My Webcam works, but the Settings and Video Effects dont

just as the Subject says. haha
The Webcam works, but all the Video Effects & Settings options have turnd faded gray, and i cant click anything to modify the settings. And i lost my installation disk for the QuickCam 9000. is there any way i can fix this, so my video effects and settings will be accesible again?
