Help installing my Web cam in Windows 7 64 bit

How do I install my Webcam correctly with all the functions working like face tracking. The sales person said it would work on Windows 7 64 bit which it did but it only works as a normal webcam. I can't control the sphere(webcam) up, down, left, right and turn the face tracking like it did on my other PC running windows XP.

My webcam's info is

M/N: V-UU22

P/N 861116-0040

S/N: LZA43751384

Re: Help installing my Web cam in Windows 7 64 bit

djlou,

I have this same camera installed on Windows 7 x64 and while the Logitech Webcam Software doesn't work, I have got working facetracking through skype. I have the latest release lws from 10-27-2010

I also get webcam settings to enable facetracking, auto zoom and some other features such as brightness and colour controls.

I don't have full functionality like i did in Windows 7 but at least the expensive part (the face tracking) is working ok. I've found i have more success with it working when the LWS software is actually running for some reason.

I agree it is a disgrace considering what day and age we live in especially with Windows 7 and the latest gadgets. Everything is supposed to be Plug and play and easy to use, you'd expect this especially after spending so much on a latest technology off the shelf product!

I hope this info may be of some help to you.

Regards,

Aphobic
