Hello vnik,

When are you getting an incompatible webcam notification? Also, what do you have for a CPU and RAM?

Re: Incompatible HD Web camera C270

Hi,

I'm also having the same problem.

The drivers that are installed with versions lws230 or  lws230_full don't work.

I tried Logitech Troubleshooting page already and none of the solutions until now worked.

I have MS Windows XP Home Edition SP3, Intel T2300 1.66GHz , RAM 1GB.

I feel very disappointed with this product (it is announced as compatible with XP SP2 or higher).
It seems that I have to return it...

Is there any other solution rather than ask the money back?

Thanks

Re: Incompatible HD Web camera C270

Hi jlohnes,

At My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Imaging Devices > Logitech HD webcam C270,

the driver appears with an error.

I have this error when trying to install the drivers:

O Windows não consegue carregar o controlador de dispositivo para este hardware. O controlador pode estar danificado ou pode não existir. (Código 39)

which means

Windows can't load the driver of this hardware. The driver could be damage or it may not exist. (Code 39).

Thanks

Hi again,

I returned the camera and got my money back.

Thanks for the support anyway.

Re: Incompatible HD Web camera C270

Any update on this?

I am having the same problem, except I have had the camera working on 2 other systems, there are another 2 systems that it will not work on.

HD Web camera C270 (M/N: V-U0018 ,P/N 860-000270, PID LZ132SW) and the software

Lws231_full

The first two systems that it was working on: XP Pro 5.1, Build 2600 and Windows 7 Embedded 32bit

The next two systems it doesnt work on are the exact same operating systems. The windows embedded units are exactly the same as each other, but the XP systems differ in that one is a laptop and one is a desktop (which it works on).

I have tried several reinstalls, including clean ones. The software installs fine, its the video driver it seems to fail on with a Code 39 in device manager, the mic also seems to work.

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in USB Video Class (UVC) Mode?

Thanks.

Re: Incompatible HD Web camera C270

Hi,

Based on the uvc link you gave me, these drivers are the default ones that windows supports and install without the lws installation file.

If that's correct, the drivers don't install on uvc mode.
