Is the QuickCam vision pro for Mac available in Japan? I can find most models here under your Logicool brand but not this one. There is a 9000h pro here but I don't think that it since the box doesn't say it's Mac compatible.

Sorry for my slow response but for some reason I did not get an email notification when you posted a reply ... even stranger I cannot log in to my logitech forum account. I can't even get my password emailed to me, the password retrieval says my email address is not registered! (Yet if I try and create an account using that same email the account creation say 'that email address if already in the database') Weird ...

Anyway, back to my original question and your answer.

You say the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac is available in the Asia-Pacific + Oceania. Which country? I cannot find it listed in the Japanese site on the webcam product list: http://www.logicool.co.jp/ja-jp/webcam-communications/webcams

Though I do see a Qcam pro 9000 on the support page: http://www.logicool.co.jp/ja-jp/support-downloads/downloads/webcams (but since it is not on the product page I assume it is no longer sold)

Also, are the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac and the Webcam Pro 9000 the same product? They both have the same M/N numbers: V-UBM46,UBM46 for the QuickCam Pro 9000 and V-UBM46 for the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac.

If they are the same then I can pick up the Webcam Pro 9000 in Japan.

Hi totsubo2000,

The QuickCam vision pro for Mac is not sold in Japan. However, you can get the Webcam Pro 9000 which is uvc and it will work under any Mac OS 10.4.9 or above. Just be awared that none of new webcams come with any Mac softare so you will have basic functionaly but can still be used with Skype, Logitech Vid, Yahoo etc.....

Thanks for the reply. Sorry I I did not reply sooner but there were problems with the support forum's login functionality.

Can I ask why the Quickcam vision Pro for Mac is not available in Japan and if it will be?
