Issue with Webcam software version 227

I have downloaded the latest version of the Logitech Webcam Software for my C910 and when I run the installer, either Smart or the Full, after it extracts the files all I get is a blank screen as you can see from this screenshot. The strange part is that I have a desktop and a laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1. On the laptop the software installed no problem and here on my deskop this is what I get.

In this forum post Support Specialist CarterW suggested that a silent install may solve your problem. A silent install basically installs with all the default prompts and does not open any windows or require any interaction.

To do a silent install of the webcam software (you should have the webcam plugged in), on Windows 7 click Start, and in search type the full path of the installer file with a /S switch, for example:

C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\lws227_full.exe /S

(In this example the file is on Owner's Desktop).

Hope this helps.

Re: Issue with Webcam software version 227

I solved mine from here

http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows/problems-with-screens/td-p/511703

Try this:

Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.

The Command Prompt window should show:

C:\Windows\System32>

If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\system32 and press Enter.

Type this and then press Enter:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

Next type this and press Enter:

regsvr32 jscript9.dll

After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.

Reboot your computer.

or try this :

Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.

The Command Prompt window should show:

C:\Windows\SysWoW64>

If what you are seeing is:

C:\Windows\System32>

then in the Command Prompt type: cd..  (2 dots are important) and press Enter.

Now you should see this in the Command Prompt:

C:\Windows>

Next type cd syswow64 and press Enter.

Now you should see this in the Command Prompt:

C:\Windows\SysWoW64>

Type this and then press Enter:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

Next type this and press Enter:

regsvr32 jscript9.dll

After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.

Reboot your computer.
