So im pretty much baffled by this one.
I tried to skype my mother this past Sunday for what else.. Mothers Day ![]()
I get a message that no web cam is found. So i load the Logi software and at the main menu i see the camera is still detected. If i unplug the USB cable the picture goes away. So i click on capture and to my surprise it says the camera is not there.
I check some of the other programs at the bottom of the main menu and find the only one that shows a working camera is the Windows Live Movie maker. It still can see the camera and even launches the Webcam controller and shows that Live Movie Maker is using the camera. Blue lights on and the works....
Back to Skype.. No work..
Facebook.. No work.. etc
So to this point I have uninstalled "clean" the program and reinstalled .. checked and changed the UAC to none (slider down)
reinstalled the full version of Logi software
downloaded and installed newest drivers for my GTX 570.
uninstalled windows firewall and essentials antivirus, uninstalled malwarebytes.
All of these steps and im still back at the same point I was. The camera only works in Live movie maker....
Ive been on support with Logitech two times for an hour each time and no luck. Anyone have an idea I might try?
Thanks in advance.
Jim

Hello RazerEQX,
Have you removed or disabled Windows Live Movie Maker from start up? If Windows Live Movie Maker is still installed, look in the options and try to see if you can remove the camera from there. To open Windows Live Movie Maker by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Movie Maker, and then, in the list of results, click Windows Live Movie Maker. Click the Movie Maker button and then click Options. In the left pane, select Webcam, and then check to see that your webcam is selected in the Available webcams list, try to remove it.

Hello RazorEQX,
Since this is a system specific issue, you may want to consider reinstalling the operating system. I understand this could be inconvenient. You could also continue with the case that was created and have Logitech Customer Care investigate the issue further.
