Logitech Pro 9000 Microphone Disabled

All operating system specs / drivers/ firmware, debug info pasted below.

Problem: I have a Quickcam Pro 9000 and the mic does not work.  It used to work fine -- I use it primarily with Skype, but now in Skype Advanced Audio Options, it shows the "Microphone (Pro 9000)" is greyed out / disabled, so it is not available to the application to use.  If I open up my Audio Settings: Recording Devices - I see the following:

1) Microphone Realtek High Definition Audio

2) CD Audio

3) Line In

4) Realtek Digital Input

5) Stereo Mix

So, I don't see the Pro 9000 mic show up there.  In System -> Device Manager all devices are enabled and nothing shows an error condition.

I think the problem started some time after a Logitech software update, but I am not certain.  All I know is that it no longer works, and it used to work.

Please advise.
