Windows refuses to recognize the drivers for the webcam after installing the software. Well it finds one driver as the webcam, but comes up with two other camera drivers that it can't find, and the software doesn't recognize the camera either.

1) What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?
2) Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?
3) What Operating System (OS) and Service Pack (SP) version is installed?
Thanks.

QuickCam 8.4.8
Windows 7 Build 7100
Reason: QuickCam 8.4.8 is not supported on Vista, so it cannot possibly be supported on Windows 7.

Is it ever going to be supported for Win7? (Me and I guess thousands of new Win7-Users with Quickcams hope so!?)
I mean the Video-functionality works fine...I ONLY need the "Logitech Microphone (Messenger)"-Driver! ![]()
I just bought this webcam 2 years ago...is it really possible that such a popular cam from such a big WebCam-Manufacturer is not supported any more already!?!?
I got ALL other device to work fine and don´t want to switch back to Win-XP JUST because of the integrated WebCam-Microphone not working in Win7... :s
Guess I need to buy a seperate Microphone to go with the cam? (Propably won´t be a Logitech-one) o.O
