Im using Windows Vista business 64 bit edition, a fresh new install after HD format.
I tried to install twice the logitech quickcam software but the webcam is detected JUST RIGHT AFTER THE FRESH NEW INSTALL of the software, but not anymore, even after restarting, i get a message like this: "one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows doest not recognize it. For assitance in solving this problem click this message".
The webcam works PERFECTLY on my XP hard drive. So this it not the issue, its a software issue on vista.
Any help guys? I have installed also Skype and kaspersky. as major software.
I plug it directly to the motherboard USB ports, not even to the front ports or using any usb hug i have. And nothing works.

1) What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?
2) Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?
Thanks.
