"Windows cannot find 'Launcher_main.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, then try again."

Just bought the C920, downloaded and installed with detection. Wiindows is unable to find launcher_main.exe, etc..

Searched the the forums, a few older mesasges about it, but nothing helpful.  Did a search of the entire computer, can't find launcher_main.exe anywhere.  It's not a 64-bit anything, so no (X86) involved.

I tried the smart install twice, the full last, same result. Final step of installer shows the camera apparently working fine.

After a reboot, the icon also shows up in the system tray, on the menu from that Help, About and Check for Updates work, but Software, Controller and Diagnostic tool just do nothing. The about shows 2.40 build 13.40.845. Again launching the icon gives Windows cannot find launcher_main.exe. Looking at running drivers, lvuvc is running. This is an older Dell XPS M1710, running Vista kept updated now at 6.0.6002 SP 2 Build 6002, processor is a 2ghz T7200, 2gigs of ram..

Why don't they have their shortcut just run the executable directly, instead of having a "C:\Program Files\Common Files\LogiShrd\LWSPlugins\LWS\Applets\HelpMain\launchershortcut.exe" Pretty basic stuff, pretty disappointed..

Logged a support request, auto-reply said within 48 hours, which didn't happen.

Any suggestions or help appreciated...

Kachi was correct!!

I had seen that post prior, and while I don't have 64, so no (86) directory, I still had searched everywhere for Launcher_main.exe.

Reading that post again though had me compelled to try again, this time using WindowsKey + F to bring up the advanced search dialog. 

Well, even though I have Indexing turned OFF on my entire drive, the search apparently defaults to indexed locations, and even though there aren't any, it never found it!  Anyway, told it to search all of C and it found it.  The location on my machine ended up being:

C:\Program Files\Logitech\LWS\Webcam Software
