I just purchased 2 of the same webcams, 1 for desktop, 1 for laptop. Both run XP. One works and the other doesn't. I also switched cams to make sure it wasn't software related. I then uninstalled and reinstalled. Anyway, what makes me think this is just a bad webcam is when I went to look at the Device info, the bad cam shows no firmware version, sensor type, etc (see below). Also, whenever a menu command needs to communicate with the camera, like for quick capture, it takes forever. In Device Mgr, it actually shows as Logitech Quickcam. Other symptoms are when I went to take photo for Logitech Vid, it was black, and when I went to quick capture, I got the 'in use with another application message'. Bad cam or what? Thx!

Please exchange the camera for a new one at the original point of purchase.
Thanks.
