Hello. I just joined the forums a few minutes ago and wanted to ask about a problem that I've been having since I installed my new webcam. I have the Quickcam Pro 9000 & use Windows Vista. I installed software Version 11.8 (which was on the installation CD) and it seemed to work fine. But when I visited Logitechs website to download and install additional video effects (avatars and face accessories), they will not install. I have tried opening the file directly, which is supposed to go to the Quickcam program and place the new avatar or face accessory in the current list there. It doesn't place the new avatar/face accessory in the program though. I have the files set to open with the "Quickcam.exe" program, which I believe is the way it is supposed to work. On the troubleshooting section on Logitechs website, it says that the files should open and install automatically in the Quickcam program, placing the avatar or face accessories there.
I also tried uninstalling Version 11.8, reinstalled it and updated to Version 11.9. This didn't help the problem. I would really appreciate any help with this and if anyone else dealt with this problem. If someone could give me simple steps on how to fix this, it would be great. Thanks.
