A month ago I got a new computer with windows vista, when I try to install my camera, windows don't recognize the microphone and send a error message. Somebody help me pleeease!, I don't want to have to buy other camera. Any help will be really great!, thanks

Unfortunately, the QCP 3000 is currently not supported in Vista.

Thanks.

Is there any update on this?
Does anyone know how to make the QuickCam Pro 3000 work with Vista??

I see no reason I should have to go and buy a new webcam when this one is working absolutely fine, the only issue with it seems to be drivers.

Does anyone know of any solutions so I can use this again in Vista (used the drivers from XP for it but the image is way too dark).

There's got to be a work around or something to get this working???

Unfortunately, this camera may never be supported in Vista (see this post by forum member geepers for further clarification).

Also, any information on "getting the camera to work in Vista" would be unsupported by Logitech, and posting such information to the forum (without an appropriate disclaimer) is frowned upon.

Thanks.

Hi, I am new to the forum. I was looking for help for my quickcam pro 3000, and got some pretty good info here. So it seems that all is lost and useless when trying to setup this version of quickcam with vista. I have noticed that vista (i'm assuming because it's so new) has problems with many software. I HATE VISTA and now I hate my cam too! lol I have to laugh, because it's so frustrating and quite upsetting ...that laughing is the only thing to make myself feel better. Despite Vista telling me that its not compatible, I intalled the program anyway... and I am still able to broadcast my cam online (ie. msn messenger etc.), but I'm not able to record videos, or take photos :smileysad:(BOO!) I was hoping that on this site, I would have found updated software but no luck( yes I know the cam and software is OLD). I'm not a frequent webcam user, so for me to spend $40 or over $100 on a cam... (and they do go quite expensive) doesn't sound too enticing to me.  Plus I've been reading others who have purchased newer cams that STILL  don't work with Vista! So I guess I have to suck it up, and never cam again OR never purchase another logitech quickcam again!
So to all you users with this old cam and new vista, I feel your pain!!!

Anyways, if by Chance there is an update, I hope someone lets me know.

Until next time forum!

Was a one of the best cams when it came out. I paid a bit more for it because it was good. But clearly Logitech can't keep up (it's either that or this is part of a commercial strategy to force users to shell out more money for a replacement). Obviously it's time to change but can anybody please suggest a replacement? Prefer for it not to be a Logitech device as I don't want to forced to continually upgrade.

I highly reject Logitech plan not to make drivers for the Quickcam Pro 3000. We all pay good money for their products and I have in the past. I will not in the future unless they start to stand behind a product. By not making a driver for this product I vow to never buy Logitech again and that goes for systems that include their brand package with other venders. If we the consumer fall to this action of Logitech, we will be purchasing news peripherrials every year or so even if the products are not broke.
I believe they will not pull this stunt in the future. Shame on you Logitech. Logitech contact me when you provide a driver!
