QuickCam Pro 9000 (Disc SW v.11.9) "Intalled" but not?

USB\VID_046D&PID_0990  / 860-000109    OS: XP (Have service pack 2 installed)  AMD 64 Processor, 2.21 GHz, 3.0 GB RAM -

I go through all 4 steps of intalling the software on my PC and when it says it's finished, I click "Finish" and...nothing.  There is not software showing in my remove software program and when I plug in my webcam, it just registers as a USB Video Device.  I installed the software on a different computer that runs on XP with no issues and the camera worked fine.

Help please!

Welcome to the Logitech Community Webcam Forum Kena47! :smileyhappy:

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in UVC Mode?

Thanks.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 (Disc SW v.11.9) "Intalled" but not?

Thank you for the welcome! Well, I just tried UVC Mode, but my pc isn't even recognizing the camera at all.  No "USB Video Device" even.

Are the following INF installed in %windir%\inf?

  • usb.inf
  • usbvideo.inf
  • wdmaudio.inf
  • wdma_usb.inf

Thanks.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 (Disc SW v.11.9) "Intalled" but not?

Sorry, Cancel my last post; plugged in my Logitech Headset, not my Webcam.  Webcam is still showing as "USB Video Device."

I found those files without .inf and also in .pnf form.

Please try reinstalling QuickCam "clean".

Thanks.

Does this issue occur when QuickCam 11.8.0.1065 is installed?

Thanks.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 (Disc SW v.11.9) "Intalled" but not?

I tried that as well, but when I begin installing the 11.8 software, I keep seeing the "connecting to camera" message and it just goes on and on.  If I skip this step, it says software installed, but again, it isn't.
