QuickCam Pro 9000 - Vista - Making a picture: ONLY HD 960x720 possible ???!!!

Hello, I have a problem in vista with the pro 9000. I can only make a picture in HD quality!!!

When I try to use a better resolution, then the computer is only working but the camera makes no picture!!!

Sometimes I have to be very patienced / I have to wait very long till the camera is making a picture in best quality after my computer is working a lot...

[ I have enough system resources available: CPU 4000+, memory 2 GB, graphic/video card 256 MB ]

Does your PC contain an AMD or an ATI system chipset?
