QuickCam Pro 9000 and Windows Gadgets (Win7 x64)

[ Edited ]

I have instaleed new LWS software (lws110_x64.exe) on my computer. (it says in "about logitech webcam software" version 12.10.1113.0000)

Camera:

P/N: 860-000109

M/N: V-UBM46

PID: LZ908BP

USB/VID: there is no "device instance id" in details tab of camera properties in device manager. I have found "hardware id" - there are two entries:

USB\VID_046D&PID_0990&REV_0008&MI_00
USB\VID_046D&PID_0990&MI_00

The issue is:

The windows gadgets disappear shortly after computer reboot  when Logitech webcam software is installed.

After computer starts, the gadgets show up on desktop then I get a windows message "windows gadgets has stopped working" - it disappears together with gadgets after one second or so.

After LWS uninstall gadgets stay in place.

I have searched the Internet to find out that it happens to other users with Widows 7. There is no other suggestion then uninstalling LWS.

Can you help me? I need my gadgets and I want to use Logitech software.

Re: QuickCam Pro 9000 and Windows Gadgets (Win7 x64)

sorry, I forgot to give details on my windows 7 software.

it is win 7 ultimate 64-bit build 7100.

The problem has started since Logitech software upgrade through Windows Update. Unfortunately I don't remember what version of  Logitech sofware was on a computer before. For sure it was Vista 64-bit  vesion (Win 7 flavor was not available then). I did not have disappearing gadget problem then
