QuickCam Vision Pro Mac - Darkness and autofocus

Hi.

My new camera is nice but it does have a few excentric sides. First of all the image is almost totally dark half of the times it is turned on. The solution to this I have found to be waving a it match in front of it for a while until it "wakes up". A bit weird but not too annoying. I have matches.

I could perhaps have wished for some settings, such as brightness and color profile/tint. Or something. I like to control things.

Secondly, the autofocus is very slow and sometimes start travelling if I make any sudden motions. This is quite annoying. The camera comes with no software whatsoever on the Mac. But is there any kind of control panel or locking feature of any kind which will let me lock the focus to a prefocused distance?

Re: QuickCam Vision Pro Mac - Darkness and autofocus

Vision Pro Mac could have been an extraordinary product. However, who ever released this product for the Mac is simply incompetent.

The Vision Pro for the Mac is a great product in very way accept tha the autofocus has a mind of it's own. Worst yet, there is no way to turn off autofocus on the Mac. Does anyone test these products before they put them into the market place.

Secondly, I'm very angry that Logitech blames Apple for the lack of software. Apple, on the other hand . . . its a Logitech problem.

Finally, Does not Logitech read all the negative comments from Mac users? When is Logitech going to publish a work around or address the autofocus problem on the Mac. Does anyone know how to disable the Autofocus on the Vision Pro Mac?
