Well, I wasn't sure where to post this but I guess this thread will do.
I recently oversaw the purchase of 4 QuickCam Pro 5000's for a local law firm that is trying to setup some basic video conferencing. The experience has been bad thanks to v10 which has caused everyone headaches and we've now had to completely uninstall the software from each of the computers (several of which now can no longer use scannners, or other imaging devices). I am about to attempt an older version of QC (8.4.8) and pray to the gods this works. The entire debacle has wound up making me and my company look bad for our high reccomendation of these products, and I am utterly floored by Logitech's seeming unwillingness to resolve this issue, as I've now been monitoring these boards for weeks and have yet to see any patches or resolutions for these problems. I don't want to hear "We will need technical data to help you resolve your problem..." because all you need to do is try to install this software on any XP SP2 computer (or even QC the product BEFORE it shipped) to see what is going on.
Waiting with bated breath for a sensible solution.
