All is in the title, whenever I use the webcam (quickcapture, xlite, skype, etc...)
the process corresponding to the program which is using the webcam goes up to 100%...
It's quite annoying, is this a normal behavior ?
With xlite that launch itself with a high priority process, it's unusable...
I got the 10.0.0.1438 drivers.
Thanks for any help.
Gaël.

Yep, the quickcam pro 5000 I bought came with the 10.x drivers on the CD.
I tried the 9.5 from the logitech website but I got problem with it.
The (seems famous) problem of usb device unknown, and when sometimes the camera is recognize, it appear
as a generic usb device and not a quickcam 5000. And then even if it's recognize as plugged sometimes it just
don't work...
With the 10.x I didn't have those kind of problems, but the cpu is maxed out whenever I use it.
Windows is still usable but it's still annoying
Just if it make any difference it's a quickcam pro 5000 from the french market...
Gaël.

I bought 3 quickcam pro 5000 on the 18 august 2006, was directly from a store in Paris/France
but they have a website -> http://www.lcdi.fr/index.php?activate=affichage_pr
Now that I look at it, it says all over that this quickcam has a free headset included, I don't have any (in all 3 cams)...
So I'm wondering if there is another version of the quickcam pro 5000 that has no headset and perhaps didn't work so well
like an end of stock or something similar ?
Thanks for your help.
Gaël.
