I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it doesn't seem to make any difference whatsoever. I appologize if this is a repeated post but I can't seem to find anything that is exactly what I speak of. My problem has nothing to do with any IM programs. Just doing a quick capture brings on a loud scratchy noise whenever there's a higher pitched noise.
I've got the microphone turned all the way down and it still picks up people walking on the floor upstairs. I've tried turning on and off the background noise filter and that made no difference whatsoever. Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this?
Thank-you for your time,
Nathalie

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in UVC Mode?
Thanks.
