Quickcam Orbit AF (USB Conflicting with VZAccess Manager?)

I have just purchased the cam everything is installed and works. I use verizon wireless broadband internet on my computer as we live in a rural area and that is the only internet we are able to recieve which is better then dialup, It uses a USB Modem PANTECH UM175. When I connect the camera to the usb on the back of the computer it makes the internet lock up and we have no access to the internet, then I unplugged the camera and reconnect to the internet and it works fine. Help please!! Also when the camera is connected to the computer when I boot the computer it boots really slow........

Is the Verizon Wireless UM175 USB Modem an Enhanced USB 2.0 device?

Thanks.
