I purchased the Quickcam Pro 9000 (V-UBM46) for my new Asus UL30A-A2 which has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I downloaded and installed driver version 1.1 64bit from Logitech's site but am having a problem. Everytime I launch either the software that came with the Logitech driver to try to record video for my YouTube acct or try to video conference with Skype, the entire computer locks up.
After doing some research online, it seems like there is a driver conflict with the Realtek High Definition Audio chip. I have latest version of the sound driver installed (6.0.1.5936).
The camera itself works fine on my desktop machine (Windows Vista 32bit), so I don't think its a hardware issue. If anyone has any ideas of how to configure my laptop to make it work, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks!
Adam

If you think there is a conflict with the Realtek HD, why don't you try temporarily (for troubleshooting only) disabling this chipset in the Device Manager and uninstalling the driver?
If you still get the same error, then there really is a conflict and you could try e.g. older versions of the Realtek driver.

Does this issue occur when the camera microphone is installed in Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Class Mode?
Thanks.
