Logitech Quickcam 9000 Pro - The "Power on" light ring around the Logitech logo is not lit up. It worked fine several weeks ago, but when I tried to Skype last evening, no picture and no lighted ring showing. Is my webcam burned out ? It's less than a year old.

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed on another PC?
Thanks.

I have not tried using the webcam on another PC, but can do so to verify power outage. I did try in multiple USB slots,
which are powered from different locations on the motherboard.

Okay, will do. Have you ever heard of the power light being out while still plugged into an active USB ?

1) ... briefly illuminate whenever the PC is booted.
2) ... briefly illuminate whenever the camera is plugged in.
3) ... continuously illuminate whenever the camera is in use.
Also, for *certain* cameras, the Activity Light will "blink" when the device is in low light mode, or during an image snap (i.e., delay indicator).
Thanks.

Thanks for your detail on how the power/activity light should work.
I've tried everything I know how, but no cigar (Groucho Marx).
I tried it in a completely different desktop PC and still no light, so
I guess it's DOA. I really like the camera, but I know there's no
warranty now, so I'll just buy another. You can get them for
about $60-$70 now.
Thanks for your help
