Quickcam software problem Vista x64 Ultimate

Everytime I reboot my computer keeps crashing i.e. It keeps coming up with a window that states that Quickcam.exe has stopped working
The details that it comes up with is as follows:

I have the x64 version of the software that was installed when I upgraded from the 32-bit software. Where it worked fine.
The drivers are fine, as the webcam does work, but just not the software.
Had this problem since last April when I upgraded to Vista x64

ah, right, I will do something with the permission of the windows folder, and re-install Quickcam, I will let you know if it has solved the problem or not
