Receiving BSOD while trying to install C910 CD or through Logitech Website (Windows 7 x64)

I've been trying to trouble shoot this issue for the past couple of hours now. I've just purchased the C910 Web Cam and everytime I try to install the drivers (it doesn't matter from what source) I get a blue screen towards the end of the installation I believe during the (driver portion) and I have to restart. I haven't gone through a successful installation yet. I tried downloading the latest drivers off the website and it still doesn't work. Even different types of installations and every combination of Custom installs as well, (just the drivers) w/out the Logitech VID software still no luck. Below is my computer info that maybe helpful towad fixing my problem.
Laptop: Gateway M-6340U
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate X64 BIT
Someone HELP! This camera is almost useless =(

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in UVC Mode?

do u have the western digital smartware? if you have, do uninstall it. it had been giving me BSOD whenever i install the Logitech driver.
once the WD is uninstalled, the logitech works! hope it helps

I actually do have the WD Smartware software.. I will try this fix and let you know the outcome!! Thanks!

I just uninstalled the WD Smartware software and the installation worked like a dream... thank you so much!!!! Your the best.

I found this through a web search. I have WD smartware and this is my next question. How am I supposed to use my external hard drive then? I can't choose to video chat and install stuff when I want to do the other/ Is there a solution to this?
