The audio is being recorded. I can put the same WMV in Movie Maker and publish it to a new WMV file and the audio will be able to be heard just fine. This just started happening. It used to work fine. WMV files from weeks ago are still ok which makes me think the logitech has changed to some kind of encoding that the media player doesn't understand. Audio in the logitech capture is set to the 9000 and the meter is responsive to sound. I didn't install anything new lately. Where should I even begin to look how do solve this? OS is windows 7

1) What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #5105), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?
2) Which version (i.e., Build Number) of Windows 7 is installed??
Thanks.

(Sample video removed after problem was solved)
Note: If I play this in WMP or Classic Media Player I get no sound. If I play it with Nero Showtime I HAVE sound. There is audio recorded in the file but something changed as to how it is encoded.

Planet Hits Radio
After choosing your favorite genre from the list on the left, please try both the High Speed Broadband (stereo, 1-pass CBR) and the Dialup (mono, 1-pass CBR) audio formats.
Please report back in with your progress and updated status when you can.
Thanks.

I found the problem. My speakers were configured to Surround (4 speakers) when I only have Stereo (2 speakers). When I played back a mono source the sound was being sent to the center front speaker which didn't exist. So I heard nothing. When I reconfigured back to stereo the sound was sent to both speakers and the problem was resolved.
The setting I changed can be found at:
Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ Sound - Manage audio devices/ Playback/ Speakers/ Configure
Thank you for your help and time.

Considering what fixed the problem, I question if the dialup streaming audio is truly mono OR if it is being converted to pseudo stereo.
