Sound problems

I don't know if the Realtek HD Audio Manager installed on my computer is causing this issue or if it's the Logitech software that needs adjusting but when I record a video I sound like I just inhailed helium and I sound like I'm part of Alvin and the chipmunks, you get the idea. But that doesn't happen while I'm recording. I've tried changing the preferences on both software, I restart my computer over and over, and it keeps doing the same thing. Does anyone know what's going on? Could it be the SP3 for windows XP that's causing this? This is my first time using the cam and I've experienced no problems with other software and XP SP3.
