Video Card Conflict

I just installed a nvidia graphics card but when I try to boot up the windows screen locks up. The Nvidia website says its a conflict with Logitech webcam software and its AEC feature. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Re: Video Card Conflict

Welcome to the Logitech Community Webcam Forum BeachBum1! :smileyhappy:

1) What is the 8xxxxx (or 860-xxxxxx) series number from the camera tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably... the USB\VID ID?

2) Which version of the Logitech supplied QuickCam software application/drivers is installed (FAQ #5105)?

3) What Operating System (OS) is installed?

Thanks.

Re: Video Card Conflict

Does this issue occur when the camera is installed in UVC Mode?

Thanks.

Re: Video Card Conflict

When you mentioned UVC mode I got to thinking why not just remove the Logitech software and leave the camera unhooked to see if problem goes away. It still locks up on the Windows screen. Maybe the camera isn't my problem. I still have Logitech Desktop Messenger, Legacy USB CameraDriver Package, QuickCam Driver Package and Logitech Upates in my Add/remove folder could any of them be causing me a problem or am I entirely look in the wrong direction.

Thanks for all your help

Re: Video Card Conflict

As a troubleshooting step, please try installing the camera on another PC.

Thanks.

Works fine on laptop. Any other ideas. By the way what did the camera working on another computer tell you?

Re: Video Card Conflict

I removed the QuickCam software and unhooked the camera but still the same lockup. Do any of the Logitech programs that I mentioned earlier need to be removed?
