Webcam C170

Hi all,

 

I just bought a C170.  I have downloaded the latest software, have the correct requirements, enough space as well.  When I go to install it, it stops at 3% and gives me a list of possible reasons why it is not working.  There is no other webcam software on here, there are no other installation processes in progress as well.

 

Any suggestions?

Hello eclifford634,

 

Please provide your operating system version and the M/N and P/N located on a tag attached the the USB cable of the camera. You could try your installation while booted clean.

Windows XP 32 Bit. M/N: V-U0026 P/N: 860-00379.    I tried the boot clean install, however same issue.

Hello eclifford634,

 

Please try creating a new user and grant the new user full administrator rights. Try your installation while logged on as the new user. Logitech Webcam Software (LWS) 2.31 with Vid HD

You can remove the new user after the installation is a success.

I got the software installed by creating that account.  However, it says there is no Web Cam detected, but its using it as a microphone.  What do you suggest now?

I'm happy to hear that the Logitech Webcam Software installed, but where are you seeing no web cam detected? Is your Windows XP up to date with service pack 3 installed? Please follow the guide in the link provided below.
