camera turns on automatically

My logitech communicator slx webcan turns on automatically and takes pictures every couple of minutes. How do I get this to stop? I get to my computer and there are 100 pictures of an empty chair.

Welcome to the Logitech Community Webcam Forum pnjpandrews! :smileyhappy:

Is the mechanical snapshot button, which is located on top of the camera, "stuck" or damaged in some way?

Thanks.
