Is it possible to some how get the webcam to record in 720p in my laptop?

Hello hamza 123,
The video quality is not going to be perfect since the requirements for 720p are:
-
For HD 720p video calling and HD 720p video recording:
- 2.4 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo
- 2 GB RAM
- 200 MB hard drive space
- USB 2.0 port

- 1280 x 720 screen resolution

Hello hamza 123,
The resolution on the HD Webcam C525 is not adjustable so it will keep recording in 720p, however, you might not be able to view the videos on your computer.
It's recommended for you to upgrade your computer by adding more RAM memory, and a new video card (suggested: 1gb video card) to get better results.
You can also purchase any of our other webcams that are more suitable to your system configuration like the Webcam C905 or the Webcam C210.
I hope this information helps.

It also provides the requirements for HD capture.

Hello hamza123,
The processes and the resources that your computer needs to play videos are not the same as what is needed to record video. When you record a video on your computer, it needs to be saved in your computer and then played.
To make a 720p recording using the C525, your computer needs to have 2 GB of RAM and at least 200 MB of hard drive space and your processor needs to be 2.4 GHz Intel® Core™2 Duo. To upload it to a website you need to have an internet connection that provides you with 1 Mbps upload speed or higher.
You can use the C525 on the Laptop that you currently have but you may not be able to get the expected video quality. If you make your recordings on a lower resolution like 4:3 SD: 320x240, 640x480 or 2MP, you may get a good video quality since the requirements for this recordings are: 1 GHz processor minimum, 1GB RAM Minimum (You wrote you have 512MB RAM).
Best regards,
Paulina
