I have owned an orbit sphere af for about 3 or 4 yrs now and since I installed win7 ultimate I have not
been able to use the camera.....
Have installed every copy of drivers that are supposed to work with that OS but to this point have never
been able to get it to work.
Have gone into the registry and deleted every reference to logitech and done a clean install that way.
No go........
I have installed it with a clean windows boot and every thing I can think of but still it will not work.
What is does is install all of the drivers and such and I can get the mike working but as for the cam'
the only time I can get a picture is when I call up the quick capture but it will only bring up a basic controller
and I cannot see anywhere on the open program that allows me to go into the full control panel for the pan
and tilt features even down in the lower right hand corner where it is supposed to be and it also will not let
me specify what cam to use at the top of the panel.
when I first click on the logitech webcam software icon on the desktop I get the panel opening up
and along with the quick capture and the gallery icon and in black letters it tells me that the webcam is not
found or connected and I KNOW that it is....
please help as I am about to turn the cam into a raquet ball for use on the ball court.
I am desperate and totally ticked off at paying the price I paid for this webcam and not being
able to use it.....and really do consider it some kind of a rip off.

What is the 860-xxxxxx (or 8xxxxx) series number from the camera's identification tag (FAQ #3427), or preferably, its USB\VID ID?
Thanks.

I have tried the cam in a number of usb port on my comp and there is no change;
I have un-installed any and all other usb programs and equipment from the comp
and cleaned the registry and such with Ccleaner.
I have gotten it to pan and tilt using the archsoft software that I recieved with another
cam (Canyon Usb Camera) but only in a very limited way with WebCam Companion 3.
That at least can see the cam to a better degree than the software Logitech provides.
I somehow think that it is a problem with the archsoft software that you provide with your logitech
drivers
