My problem is that I cannot record or take photos in the 'Quick Capture' mode. In Device Manager under 'Image Devices' I have listed 'USB Video Device'. I've gone through the help to update the drivers - Guess what?! Logitech isn't even listed, the only thing listed is 'USB..bla bla'. I've tried to extract the driver needed using 7-zip, but no luck, it says it does not have my hardware's information. I've tried adding new hardware to 'trick' it... again Logitech isn't even listed under 'Image devices' I am at a loss, and very frustrated that the only way I can use this in on Skype or Movie Maker - which I don't even use! I have no ability to shoot video, capture video, or snap photos. All I see is a black screen... video play back, yep it's black too. If I try to snap a photo it crashes the software. I have uninstalled, reinstalled. Even the installs at the finish list the webcam as a USB device, not the C110. Also at the finish of the install where it should be a little window that show the camera is working it's black. The only listing of the Webcam c110 is in the sound devices. In the Controls (using the 'Quick Capture' mode) it also says Webcam 'USB Video Device' Yes, the little green light indicates that the camera is on, but it is not working with the software provided, nor are the drivers installing correctly. Frustrated - just plain frustrated.
I am using an XP sp3, updated weekly.
Would love to be able to use the software.
Thanks
L

Thanks.

Yes, even on install it lists the web came as 'USB Video Device' and where it verifies it was installed, it has a black box (assuming that is where I should be seeing myself or showing the camera is working) and the mic settings. Is there a way I could send you photos of what I am looking at?
Thanks,
L
*When in Quick Capture mode, the green light on the camera is 'ON' indicating that it is working.
*Edited to add information..

I apologize it has taken me a bit to get back with you. I wasn't notified that I had a message. I am unable to post the photos in this reply, but have uploaded them and set them for public view.

Sorry I haven't replied sooner, however, life not involving the webcam came into play. At any rate, I have unistalled, done the clean boot, reinstalled and still the camera will not work in Quick Cam, nor does it show up in the Device manager. The only thing listed is 'USB Vidio Device #3" (I'm assuming #3 because of the amount of times of reinstalls) however that is the only one listed. I've tried to update the driver, however Logitec or Webcam C110 are not listed, the only listing is USB Vidio Device" I've tried every USB port I have, still nothing. It seems windows is not seeing the driver. I've check the inf files listed on another post, I have them all. At this point I am really frustrated that this 'Plug and Play' is not, and has been more of a pain than a blessing. My op sys again is Win XP SP3 32bit.
Note: Windows sees the Webcam C110 as a sound device ONLY.
