Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

Hello Logitech

Can you please give an ETA of the return of the Wilife service. Would it be a good idea to have a backup server we can access in this eventuality? Is the Wilife service now up for Tender as this is ridiculous, your products are useless if we cannot access them remotely, and in the current financial climate, you can't really to afford to lose so much custom. I don't want to fork out for another security system, but if needs must..........!

Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

So Logitech has been DOWN for 2 days and this is day 3, and all we get is your engineers are working on it but you won't say what they are working on? How can they work on something when they don't know the cause? And your customers have checked the GoDaddy website who appears to be giving us more information than Logitech. Your renewal is due although you say you still own it (better check with GoDaddy then)? Your wireless cameras are great but unfortunately this is an all too typical scanerio for Logitech, either down completely or down sporatically each month. I'm encouraged to try a hard-wired system due to "trust" issues with your system and your unwillingness to communicate with your customers. And you have your customers emails yet you don't inform us what is happening? If you are off-line for 3 days I would hope someone actually knows what is happening? Is it a server issue, the website "GoDaddy" problem or are you working on replacing your engineers with people that actually know what is going on? Whatever the problem is your customers would like to know what "IT" is instead of you "working on it".

Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

Day two and still no access.  If Logitech wants to phase out the Wilife cameras I can understand that, but please don't just cut them off.  The cameras are still for sale on Amazon, Best Buy and other places... people are still buying the cameras without knowing that the website is not accessible at all to view them remotely.

We all bought these security cameras to keep our property, houses, businesses safe.  We rely on the website to do this.  Please find a solution soon and get the website up and running.  If you want to phase out the cameras please do so slowly and take them off the market so others don't waste money like we did.  Thank you!

Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

As a person in forensics, I am also becoming more and more dissatisfied with Logitech's (Wilife - Platinum) offline status.  I might suggest to those of you who are operating two or more sites to activate Team Viewer so as to compensate for these shutdowns. This way you can see what is going on at an external site. The version I use is free.  To make Logitech more sensitive to its customers inconvenience I will file a complaint with the FTC (Consumer Response Center), 600 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20580 about this matter. Regretfully, whenIi contact Logitech's tech services they tell me everything other than the truth as to what is going on.

Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

I would think after 3 days of being down someone would know what is going on. Have your systems been hacked and now all us customers should be worried about our information being vulnerable? Someone from WiLife/Logitech that KNOWS what is going on needs to inform us. All this "Our engineers our working on it, we will update you when we know something" is really getting tiresome. We are paying customers that have put our trust in this company and are getting nothing in return.

Re: WiLife Online services are temporarily unavailable..... AGAIN!

We are aware of the issues affecting the WiLife servers but have not been cleared to disclose the details. I can confirm that our servers are secure and were not penetrated, no user data has been exposed, this is only a server maintenance issue.

Once are prepared to provide further details, a sticky thread will likely be posted in this forum.
