Cannot record sound through the microphone..or use for communications.

.. well the headset installs ( or is reconized by Win7 ) , I can test and hear sounds, it seems to be simpy the mike not working.

result is the same whether it is analog or usb connection, I do not have another OS to test it on..Suggestions?

I have windows 7 - 64bit. I found that you need to right click on the volume control in the right hand corner of the screen, choose play back devices, select your headset and make it the windows default. This worked for Cisco IP communicator. You then run the tuning wizard and make the required settings.

If the headset is not connected when you run your app, windows will go back to the internal mic and speakers (or whatever was the default before adding the speakers)
