Hello,
I have a QuickCam for Notebooks Pro
M/N: V-UJ15
P/N: 861099-0000
Windows 7 does not seem to be able to find drivers for it, nor does Vista. I even tried a compatibility install from a Windows XP driver with no avail. Will this webcam ever be supported for Windows 7?
Thanks.

PSYK,
Unfortunately, they will not be Windows 7 support for your camera.
Thanks,
-PedroC.

Wow! Come on Logitech, this webcam isn't even that old. How can you not support it in windows 7. The webcam works with the default windows 7 drivers... just no control center for brightness and things... makes it WAY too bright.. This isn't too hard for you, is it Logitech? Looks like I will never buy a logitech webcam again, and tell everyone about this experience. Windows 7 support please.

Logitech is really failing their customers with their windows 7 support!
I guess all they really care about is their mice...

Pedro,
Would the webcam work if I installed the drivers by adding it as legacy hardware in Windows Device Manager? I got my Intel embedded video card and TI card reader to work this way.
Are there driver installation files available for download that is not completely packaged in a .EXE file?
Thank you.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 last week and was appalled to find out that a newish piece of Logitech hardware wouldn't work! My camera is only three years old, and it worked fine under Vista. I'm really surprised that a company so dedicated to software updates is letting a good and expensive product slide into obsolescence.

I recently (5 months ago) purchased a QuickCam for Notebooks while still using Windows Vista, it sounds like I'm also out of luck with Windows 7 support.
I've never complained about a product on an online forum, but this ridiculous state warrants my first post. How can a device so new simply be "unsupported"?!
