I have disconnected all other USB devices, uninstalled Setpoint480, uninstalled AVG anti-virus, removed the LX10 receiver, attached a standard USB mouse and PS2 keyboard, rebooing every time it was requested. Then I reinstalled Setpoint 480, rebooted to be sure and then attached the Lx710 receiver to a different USB port, rebooted and then finally installed AVG version 9.0.
End result - The cursor jumps around.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

Here is my suggestion:
1. after uninstall AVG, and all other USB devices, reboot once.
2. after the system is up and running, conncte LX710 and test it out, with regular programs, word, excel, etc....
3. make sure all fine
4. go on the web side you know and trust and see if jumps around
5. install setpoint 4.80 and repeat and compare
6. install avg and repeat and compare..
Isolating one thing at a time and see how it goes.

I downloaded Setpoint 4.80 and tried to use it but the button assignments do not work at all. They keep the factory assignments only and will not change. This makes win7 not workable and you mouse not workable. Since this is a new computer I guess you know which one will go if I can not get the Logitech mouse to work. Is there a fix for this problem or what?

In the end it turned out that the mouse was defective. I swapped it out with a spare and the problem went away. Thanks for the help here!

Resolution for the VC8 Library error:
Install the C++ Pack linked below before running SetPoint 4.8 installer. If you're on a 64-bit OS you'll need to run the 32-bit before running the 64-bit, than setpoint 4.8.

How do I get off of this mailing list? When I click on the link in the notifying e-mail that says "Don't want to receive emails from us? Just click here." I am directed to a page that says:
"Confirmation Thanks for letting us know your email preferences.
Click Confirm to remove this email address from your account."
When I click on the Confirm link to be removed from the list I am directed to another page that says: "Sorry, you do not have sufficient privileges for that action. Please click the Back button on your browser."
Please help!
